1. Connect the modem to the router’s WAN port with an Ethernet cable.
2. Connect one end of a second Ethernet cable to one of the numbered ports on the router and the other end to the computer.
3. Power on both the modem and the router.
4. Access your router’s setup page. This can usually be done by typing in the router’s IP address into a web browser. Consult your router’s manual for specific instructions.
5. Enter a username and password. Again, consult your router’s manual for specific instructions.
6. Configure your router’s settings. This includes setting up a Wi-Fi network name and password, setting up security protocols, and configuring other settings.
7. Save your settings and restart your router.
8. Connect other devices such as computers, smartphones, and tablets to your router.
