1. Connect an analog phone line from your phone outlet to the fax machine.
2. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the back of the fax machine.
3. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports on the router.
4. Power on both the router and the fax machine.
5. Access the router’s web user interface (usually by typing 192.168.1.1 into your web browser) and enter your username and password.
6. Go to the “LAN” section and then the “IP Address Management” section and assign a static IP address to the fax machine.
7. Save the changes and then go to the “NAT” section and enable port forwarding for the IP address you assigned to the fax machine.
8. Enter the port numbers that need to be opened for the faxes to be sent and received.
9. Save the changes and try to send a test fax.
