1. Open a terminal window and enter the command: echo $PATH
2. This will output the contents of the PATH variable, a list of directories in which Linux will search for executable programs.
3. You can also open the file /etc/profile, which is the system-wide profile file for all users, and view the PATH variable by searching for PATH.
4. To edit the PATH variable, enter the command: export PATH=<your_path>
5. Replace <your_path> with the desired path variable entries. Separate entries with a colon (:).
