A SSD upgrade is when you replace a traditional hard drive with a Solid State Drive (SSD). SSDs are much faster than regular hard drives, as they use flash memory chips instead of spinning disks. They are also more reliable, as there are no moving parts. SSDs can drastically improve the performance of a computer, resulting in faster boot times, faster application loading, and more responsive multitasking.
