The most common types of video cables are HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, VGA, and S-Video. HDMI is the most commonly used type of cable and is used to transmit both audio and video signals. DisplayPort is similar to HDMI but is designed to provide a higher resolution and refresh rate. DVI is an older format that supports only video signals, while VGA is an analog signal cable. S-Video is an older signal format that provides better picture quality than composite cables.
