Ospf (Open Shortest Path First) is a link-state routing protocol used within a single Autonomous System (AS). It is used to find the shortest path between two nodes in a network. Ospf is used in smaller networks and it is slower than BGP (Border Gateway Protocol).
BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) is an exterior gateway protocol used to exchange routing information between networks in different Autonomous Systems. BGP is used to connect disparate networks and is much faster than OSPF. It is used in larger networks and it allows for more flexibility and scalability than OSPF.
