1. Log into the Cisco switch using your administrative credentials.
2. Type the command “enable” and hit Enter.
3. Type “configure terminal”, followed by Enter.
4. Type the following command: mac–address–table static [MAC ADDRESS] vlan [VLAN NUMBER] interface [INTERFACE NUMBER]
5. Replace the text in brackets with the appropriate data for your device and network configuration.
6. Press Enter and the MAC address is blocked from the interface.
1. Log into the Cisco switch.
2. Enter Global Configuration Mode by typing “configure terminal” and pressing enter.
3. Enter the command “mac-address-table static <mac-address> vlan <vlan-id> interface <interface-name>” in order to block the specified MAC address on the switch.
4. You can also use the command “show mac-address-table” to view the MAC address table on the switch.
5. When you are done, type “end” to exit configuration mode and save your settings.
