To change your current IP address using the Command Prompt, open a new Command Prompt window and type in ‘ipconfig /release’ to release the current IP address, then type in ‘ipconfig /renew’ to renew the IP address. You can also use ‘ipconfig /flushdns’ to flush the DNS resolver cache.
