Cable and fiber both offer fast internet connections, but fiber is the faster of the two. Fiber-optic cables provide internet speeds up to 10 Gbps, whereas cable speeds can range from 5-1,000 Mbps. Fiber is also less susceptible to weather and other interference, making it more reliable than cable. Fiber is also more secure as it is harder to tap into than cable.
