1. Configure your network card BIOS. Check your network card manual for instructions on how to enter the BIOS. Set the boot order so that the network card is the first option.
2. Configure the network server. Install the operating system and other necessary software on the network server.
3. Configure your computer’s BIOS. Enter your computer’s BIOS and configure the boot order so that the network card is first.
4. Reboot your computer. When your computer reboots, it will attempt to boot from the network. The server will then provide the necessary instructions for booting your computer.
1. Power on your computer and press the ‘F12’ key repeatedly as soon as you see the system manufacturer’s logo appear.
2. On some computers, you may need to select the “Boot Menu” to access the network boot option.
3. Once you’re in the boot menu, scroll down until you find the “Network Boot” option.
4. Select the “Network Boot: IPv4” option (or the “UEFI Network” option if available) and press ‘Enter’.
5. The computer will now attempt to connect to the network and communicate with the server.
6. If successful, the server will send the necessary files needed to boot your PC over the network.
