1. Identify the total size of the network. This includes the total number of nodes, their connection speeds, and their respective bandwidths.
2. Identify the average number of users connected to the network at any given time.
3. Calculate the total amount of data transmitted on the network within a given period of time, such as a day, a week, or a month.
4. Calculate the total amount of data received on the network within the same period of time.
5. Subtract the total amount of data received from the total amount of data transmitted. The result is the total amount of data used on the network.
6. Divide the total amount of data used on the network by the total size of the network. This will give you the network bandwidth utilization expressed as a percentage.
