1. Start Wireshark.
2. Select your network connection in the “Capture” menu.
3. Click the “Capture Options” button.
4. Type “icmp” into the “Capture Filter” box.
5. Click “Start” to begin capturing ICMP packets.
6. Stop capturing after a short while by pressing the “Stop” button.
7. Browse through the captured packets and locate the ICMP packets. These will be marked with a type of 0 (echo reply) or 8 (echo request).
8. Save the capture session if desired.
