1. Connect your computer to your Linksys router with an Ethernet cable.
2. Open a web browser on your computer and type in the router’s IP address into the address bar.
3. Log into the router’s web-based setup page using your username and password.
4. Go to the Setup or Wireless tab, depending on your router model.
5. Find the Wireless Network Name (SSID) section and enter a new name for your Linksys router.
6. Click the Save Settings button to apply the new name.
7. Disconnect the Ethernet cable and use the new network name to connect your wireless devices.
