1. First, locate an available Ethernet port on your modem or router.
2. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the port. Make sure the connection is secure.
3. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on your PC.
4. Your computer should automatically detect the connection and configure itself for the network.
5. If necessary, enter your username and password, or connect from a web browser to finish setting up the connection.
1. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of your PC.
2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the modem or router.
3. Open the Network and Sharing Center in Windows.
4. Click on Change Adapter Settings.
5. Right-click on the Ethernet adapter and select Properties.
6. Select the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties.
7. Select the Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.
8. Click OK and close the window.
9. You should now be connected to the internet.
