1. Open Remote Desktop Connection by clicking the Start button, pointing to All Programs, pointing to Accessories, and then clicking Remote Desktop Connection.
2. In the Remote Desktop Connection dialog box, select the Options button.
3. On the General tab, enter the name of the computer you want to connect to in the Computer field.
4. To use a specific user account to connect to the remote computer, select the user name and enter the password in the User name and Password fields.
5. On the Display tab, enter the size of the window you want to use for the remote computer.
6. On the Local Resources tab, select the local resources to be available for the remote computer.
7. On the Programs tab, you can choose to start a program on the remote computer when you connect.
8. On the Experience tab, you can adjust the settings for the connection for optimal performance.
9. Click the Connect button to connect to the remote computer.
