The 0.0.0.0 IP address is a special IPv4 address reserved for use as a default gateway. It is commonly used to denote an invalid, unknown or non-applicable target. To fix this issue, the user should check their router settings and ensure that the router is configured to use a valid static IP address. Additionally, checking and updating any dynamic DNS settings may also help fix the issue.
To fix 0.0.0.0 IP address, you need to check your router’s settings, reset the router, and make sure your computer has the correct IP address.
1. Check your router’s settings by logging into it from your web browser. Look for any incorrect settings, such as an incorrect IP address, subnet mask, or gateway.
2. Reset the router by pressing the reset button on the back of the router for about 10 seconds. This will reset the router to its original settings.
3. Check to make sure your computer has the correct IP address. Go to the Network and Sharing Center in Windows and click on Change Adapter Settings. Right-click on the LAN connection and select Properties. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties. Make sure the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway are correct.
If the IP address is still 0.0.0.0 after following these steps, contact your ISP for further assistance.
