1. Open the IIS Manager.
2. Select the server name from the Connections pane.
3. Double-click on Server Certificates.
4. Click on Create Certificate Request from the Actions pane.
5. Fill in the Distinguished Name Properties with your contact information.
6. Select the bit length (usually 2048) and select a Cryptographic Service Provider.
7. Enter a file name and select a location to save your CSR.
8. Click Finish to complete the CSR generation.
