1. Begin by unplugging your computer and removing the side panel.
2. Find the CPU socket and remove the lever arm that holds it in place.
3. Place the CPU in the socket, making sure the pins line up with the socket.
4. Apply a thin layer of thermal paste to the top of the CPU.
5. Place the heat sink on top of the CPU and secure it with the lever arm.
6. Replace the side panel and plug your computer back in.
7. Boot your computer and enter your BIOS to confirm the CPU is detected.
1. Turn off your computer, unplug all cables, and open the case.
2. Carefully remove the existing processor from the socket, if applicable.
3. Ground yourself by touching a metal part of the chassis to reduce static electricity.
4. Find the CPU socket on your motherboard.
5. Align the notches on the CPU with the socket and insert the processor.
6. Use both hands to carefully press down on the processor until it is in place.
7. Secure the processor with the heat sinks, fan, or any other necessary parts.
8. Close your computer case and plug the power cables back in.
9. Turn on your computer to make sure everything functions correctly. Enjoy your new processor!
