1. Determine the best option for connecting the new location to the internet. Depending on your location, you may be able to use a wired connection, wireless connection, or a combination of both.
2. Set up your wireless router in the new location. If you are using a wireless connection, you will need a wireless router and a power source in the new room. Follow the instructions provided with your router to set it up.
3. Connect the router to your modem. Use either an Ethernet cable or a coaxial cable to connect the router to the modem.
4. Connect the computer or device in the new location to the wireless router. Depending on the device, you may need to enter a network key and/or password.
5. Test the connection. Check to make sure that the device is connected to the internet before you move on to the next step.
6. Move the computer or device to the new location. Once the connection is verified, you can move the computer or device to the new room.
7. Reconfigure the network settings. If you moved the computer or device to a new location, you may need to reconfigure the network settings in order for it to connect to the internet.
