1. Log in to your Windows Server 2012 as an administrator.
2. Click on “Server Manager” in the Task Bar.
3. Click on “Tools” and then select “Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.”
4. Click on “Inbound Rules” in the left pane.
5. Click on “New Rule” in the right pane.
6. Select “Port” and click “Next.”
7. Enter the port number you wish to open and select the protocol type.
8. Select “Allow the Connection” and click “Next.”
9. Select the network profile you wish to apply the rule to and click “Next.”
10. Enter a name for the rule and click “Finish.”
11. You can now close the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security window. The port will be open on the server.
