1. Launch the Ubuntu Dash by clicking the Ubuntu icon in the upper-left corner of the screen.
2. Search for “gedit” in the search bar and click the “gedit” icon that appears in the search results.
3. Gedit will launch with a blank document open. You can also open existing documents by clicking the “Open” button in the toolbar and selecting a file from your computer.
