1. Identify the reporting domain: Look at the beginning of the report to find the domain that is being reported on. All the data included in the report will relate to this domain.
2. Check for DKIM or SPF authentication records: After identifying the reporting domain, look for any DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) and SPF (Sender Policy Framework) authentication records. These records will help to ensure that emails from this domain are legitimate.
3. Read the aggregate data section: This section contains a summary of all emails sent from this domain over the past month. It includes information on how many emails were sent, what percentage passed DMARC authentication and what percentage failed.
4. Review the forensic results: The forensic results section provides more detailed information about individual emails that have been sent from the domain. This can be used to identify specific issues with emails that have not passed authentication.
5. Analyze any falied emails: This section will show which emails have failed DMARC authentication. You can use this information to investigate why they failed, and make changes to ensure they pass in the future.
6. Check the policy settings: The policy settings section shows which DMARC policy has been implemented for the domain. This can be adjusted based on the results of your analysis to help maintain email security.
