1. Open a command prompt window in Windows.
2. Type the command “ipconfig /release” and press Enter. This will release any IP addresses that have been acquired automatically.
3. Type the command “ipconfig /renew” and press Enter. This will acquire a new IP address from your router, using DHCP.
4. Type the command “ipconfig /all” and press Enter. This will show you the information about all of your network connections.
5. Look for the line that says “Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address” and take note of the address.
6. Type the command “netsh interface ip delete address YOUR_INTERFACE_NAME YOUR_IP_ADDRESS”, replacing YOUR_INTERFACE_NAME with the name of your network adapter, and replacing YOUR_IP_ADDRESS with the autoconfigured IPv4 address you previously noted.
7. Press Enter to execute the command. The Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address should now be removed.
