The best way to remove old files in Linux is to use the rm command. This command will delete a file or directory from the file system. To delete a single file use the command ‘rm filename’. To delete multiple files use ‘rm filename1 filename2 filename3’ To delete a directory and all its contents use ‘rm -r directoryname’. Be sure to double check the command before executing it to make sure you are deleting the correct files.
