To remove a secret password on a Cisco router, you will need to access the router‘s configuration and delete the line that contains the password command. To do this, connect to the router via the console port (or SSH if enabled) and enter into configuration mode. Once in the configuration mode, use the “no“ command to delete the password command. For example, if the line contains “password cisco123“ then you would enter “no password cisco123“. Once the command is deleted, save and exit the configuration mode. This will remove the secret password from the router.
