1. Open your Network Connections window. Go to the Start menu, then select Settings > Network connections.
2. Right–click on the Wireless Network Connection (this could be listed as Wi–Fi or Local Area Connection) and select Properties.
3. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
4. Choose the “Obtain an IP address automatically” option (this is typically the default setting).
5. Click OK to finish and restart the computer if necessary. Your computer should now automatically receive an IP address from the router when connected.
