To set an IP address in Windows 7, click on the Start menu and type “Network Connections” into the Search box. This will bring up a list of available network connections. Right-click on the connection you want to configure, and then select Properties. In the Networking tab, click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and then click the Properties button. You can now enter the static IP address information for your connection and click OK to save your changes.
