1. To set a switch as the primary device, open the web–based user interface of the switch and navigate to the switch configuration page.
2. Then, find the option for Management Mode.
3. Select the Primary option and then apply the changes.
4. After that, you can configure the switch with your desired settings and save them.
5. Finally, restart the switch to apply the changes and it will now be your primary device.
