1. Choose an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and sign up for a home internet package.
2. Connect your modem to your ISP’s network. If you are using a DSL or cable modem, you will typically need to plug an Ethernet cable from the modem into your router.
3. Connect your router to your computer. If you are using a wired router, plug one end of an Ethernet cable into your computer and the other into the router.
4. Power on the modem, router, and computer.
5. Configure your router. This will usually involve accessing your router’s web-based setup page and entering your ISP’s username and password.
6. Connect your wireless devices to the network. You will need to enter the network name (SSID) and password that you configured in step 5.
