1. Connect the router to your modem. Plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the back of your modem, then plug the other end of the cable into the “Internet” port on the back of your router.
2. Connect the router to a power source. Plug the power adapter that came with your router into an electrical outlet and then plug the other end into the power port on the back of the router.
3. Connect your computer to the router. Plug one end of an Ethernet cable into any of the numbered ports on the back of the router. Then plug the other end of the cable into one of the Ethernet ports on your computer.
4. Configure your router’s wireless settings. Open a web browser on your computer and go to the router’s web-based configuration page. Enter your username and password to access the settings. Then, adjust the wireless settings (such as the SSID and encryption) to your desired settings.
5. Save your router settings. Once you’ve adjusted your settings, click the “Save” button to apply the changes.
6. Test your connection. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from your computer and attempt to connect to the router wirelessly. Ensure that you’re able to access the internet from any of your devices.
