1. Check physical connections: Make sure that the RJ45 connectors are securely plugged into the ports.
2. Ping the other device: Use the ping command to send data packets to the other device, and check for any responses.
3. Check the LED lights on the Ethernet ports: If the LEDs are on and flashing, the cable is likely functioning.
4. Exchange data: Try to transmit data between the two devices.
5. Use a loopback plug: Insert a loopback plug into the Ethernet port and use the ping command again to check for any responses.
