To turn on an Ethernet port, plug in the Ethernet cable and make sure that both the router and computer/device are properly connected. Then, go to the Network and Sharing Center in the Control Panel and find your device. Right-click on it, select ‘Enable’, and the port should be enabled
1. Connect your Ethernet cable to the port.
2. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into your router or modem.
3. Power on the router or modem.
4. Check for any lights on the Ethernet port. If the lights are on, the port is active and ready to use.
5. If the lights are off, restart the router or modem and check the lights again.
