1. Log in to your Kali Linux system as a non–root user with sudo privileges.
2. Open a terminal window.
3. Type in “sudo passwd root“ and hit ENTER.
4. Enter a new UNIX password for the root user, twice.
5. Reboot your computer.
6. Log in as root with your newly created password.
