1. Connect the Cisco terminal server to your network using the appropriate connection cable. Make sure to properly configure the IP address of the terminal server to ensure connectivity.
2. Log into the Cisco terminal server’s command line interface (CLI) with a username and password.
3. Use the terminal server‘s CLI to create and configure user accounts and assign access rights as necessary.
4. Configure the terminal server’s ports and sessions to allow remote access through your network via a terminal program (e.g., Telnet, SSH, etc.).
5. To use the terminal server, connect to it using a supported terminal program and enter the appropriate credentials.
6. Once connected, you can use the CLI to execute the required commands on the Cisco terminal server and manage your network devices.
