A phishing email attack is a type of cyber attack that uses malicious emails to try to trick recipients into clicking on malicious links or providing sensitive information, such as passwords or credit card numbers. These emails often appear to come from a legitimate source, such as a bank or online store. The attacker may also impersonate a trusted contact, such as a friend or family member, in order to make the email appear more credible.
