An attack vector is a path or technique used by a hacker to gain access to a computer or network server in order to deliver a malicious outcome. Attack vectors are techniques used by attackers to penetrate and gain access to a target system or software application. Common attack vectors include malware, phishing emails, malicious links, and network–based attacks.
