Cat 5 connectors are modular plugs used to connect patch cables to Ethernet devices such as switches, routers, and patch panels. They are also referred to as RJ45 connectors, as they are typically composed of 8 pins arranged in a standard 8P8C design. Cat 5 connectors are designed to carry signals up to 100 Mbps and can support up to four wires in a single connector.
