Coaxial cables are insulated electrical cables used to transmit radio frequency signals. They consist of an inner core of solid or stranded copper wire surrounded by insulation, an outer braided or foil shield, and a protective outer jacket. They are used to transmit data and audio/video signals in a variety of applications, including television, cable internet, and telephone systems.
