Disable IGMP proxying (also known as IGMP snooping) is a feature found in certain network switches that enables the switch to intercept and process Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) messages sent between hosts and routers. This feature can be used to help manage the flow of multicast traffic within a network, or to prevent multicast traffic from leaving or entering a subnet. It can also be used to improve performance on networks with a high number of multicast applications.
