DisplayPort is a digital display interface used to connect computer monitors, television screens, and other display devices. It is generally considered to be the standard for connecting a PC to a monitor or TV, offering higher resolution abilities than its predecessor, VGA. DisplayPort cables have a different shape than HDMI cables, but usually have a similar purpose.
