DVI (Digital Visual Interface) is a video interface standard designed to provide high-speed digital transmission of video data from a computer to a display device such as a monitor, television, or projector. It was developed by the Digital Display Working Group (DDWG) and is an industry standard. It is commonly used on PC systems and is also used to connect an audio source to a display device such as a TV or projector. DVI connectors come in two forms, single-link and dual-link. Single-link is used for resolutions up to 1920×1200, while dual-link is used for resolutions up to 2560×1600.
