Ethernet cable Cat6 is a type of twisted pair cable for carrying signals. It is typically made up of four unshielded twisted pairs (UTP) of copper wire terminated by RJ45 connectors. Cat6 cable is capable of transmitting data at speeds up to 10 Gbps, which is twice as fast as Cat5e cable. It is often used in structured cabling for computer networks, such as wiring for Ethernet networks in homes and businesses.
