Fix packet loss is a term used to describe methods of reducing or eliminating the amount of data that fails to reach its destination when transmitted over a network. This can be accomplished through a variety of methods, such as improving the speed and quality of the connection, using routing protocols like TCP or UDP for reliable transmissions, implementing packet–level error correction techniques, or making hardware improvements such as better network cards or switches. When attempting to fix packet loss, it is important to identify the underlying cause of the problem in order to determine the best solution.
