IPv4 (Internet Protocol Version 4) is the fourth version of the Internet Protocol (IP), the primary set of communication protocols used for connecting devices to the Internet. It is the most widely used protocol in the world and is the basis of the internet as we know it today. IPv4 is a connectionless protocol used for transmitting data packets over the Internet. It uses a 32-bit address space and is capable of handling up to 4,294,967,296 unique addresses.
