LAN (Local Area Network) is a network that connects computers and devices in a very limited area, such as within a single building or home. This allows local users to communicate with each other and share resources like printers and files.
WAN (Wide Area Network) is a network that spans large geographical areas, such as multiple buildings or homes, cities, states, countries, or even the world. WANs connect more than one LAN and allow users to access remote resources over great distances.
