NAT Type 3 (also known as Cone NAT) is a type of network address translation (NAT) technology. It is designed to work with routers that do not support symmetric NAT, which means the router does not properly open ports for incoming traffic. This makes for a very restrictive network when it comes to gaming, VoIP, and other applications that require consistent connection.
