Network Layer 2, also known as the Data Link Layer, is a layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model that defines how data is transmitted from one device to another on a local area network (LAN) or metropolitan area network (MAN). This layer is responsible for organizing the data into frames and providing access control to the network. It also provides error detection and correction, as well as flow control.
