Router RIP (Routing Information Protocol) is a distance-vector routing protocol that is used to find the best path for packets to travel from source to destination on a network. The RIP command is an administrative command used to configure and manage RIP routing on a router. It can be used to control which routes are advertised and accepted, to configure timers, and to control authentication of RIP messages.
