Server hard drives are hard drives specifically designed for use in servers. These drives often have higher storage capacities than consumer-grade hard drives, and feature improved reliability, speed, and durability for the high-performance demands of server applications. Server hard drives are usually manufactured with SAS or SATA interfaces, and may also feature technologies such as RAID, encryption, or power management.
