Subnet mask 252 is an IPv4 addressing scheme. It is also known as a Class C mask because it provides 8 bits for the network address, and 24 bits for the host address. The subnet mask can be written in either dotted–decimal or prefix–length notation. In dotted–decimal, the mask is 255.255.255.252, and in prefix–length notation, the mask is /30.
